Team Wilhite....2 months ago

Team Wilhite....2 months ago. That is what all the blogs are saying about me. My last post was two months ago. I tried to think why I had stopped and then it hit me. I am writing THIS blog at 11:30 at night. But since I am horrible at journals, worse at baby books and won't even think about scrapbooking, this is my one and only shot at "remembering when?". I don't really even know where to pick up? Life has really "picked up" for us. Hollis is like a tornado- busy, busy, busy and wild and crazy and funny/funnier. He is talking now, really well actually, and the things he comes up with- My 'lanta!
We took a trip to New Mexico/Colorado in August and ever since we got back from that trip Hollis has really been into "cowboy". My best guess is Reese's grandparents have a lot of cowboy paraphernalia around their house. Hollis would sit in Papaw's saddle for ever. He picked up this one baseball hat that belonged to Reese's Granddad and I swear that hat never left his head. Papaw ended up gifting us that hat (Thank you Papaw!) But Hollis calls it his cowboy hat.
Clothes are so overrated!
When we got home, we set up Reese's saddle in the living room so Hollis could ride. He tells me he is going to check cows! He will put Reese's belt on and stick his "pow-pow's" in the belt. He says he's Wylie Burp. He loves to watch Fievel goes West and the sheriff on there is Wylie Burp (Wyatt Earp). Anytime we see anyone at a store wearing a cowboy hat Hollis says, "HELLO Cowboy!" But the best part of all this cowboy business is his real cowboy hat. He has a palm leaf hat that fit him for all of two weeks when he was a baby. It does not fit him AT ALL now. But he won't wear any other hat. We bought him a black felt hat that fits but he wants nothing to do with it. We lucked out the other day with a five dollar hat that fits him and at least he'll wear it for now. ( We hid the other one!) There is no hiding the fact that my husband's blood runs through that child.
